Bugsier 3
Bugsier 3
Ref: 2406
BUGSlER 3 was one of the first harbor tugs to be operated by the Bugsier-Reederei & Bergungs- Aktiengesellschaft of Hamburg.
BUGSIER 3 is a highly maneuverable ship, equipped with a powerful engine.
It has been designed for towing and warping other ships. Compared with today's more stream-lined tugboats, BUGSIER 3 looks rather conventional.
Its two big masts and the rather angular shape of the superstructure give the boat a personal and functional, yet particularly attractive touch of its own.The model: of the harbor tug BUGSIER 3 has been scaled down to 1:33 from original drawings. Its design wilI meet the requirements of even the most demanding modeller. Difficult-to-fashion parts, such as hull, bulwark, funnel, Iife-boat, rudder shells etc.
are supplied in the kit as extruded parts. A lot of effort has been put into the careful reproduction of such items as capstan, salvage and warping winch, tow hook and other miscellaneous parts.
These injection moulded parts, contained in the set of fittings, order No. 348, simplify the assembly and cut building time drastically. The wood parts and stern parts fashioned from ABS plastic come preshaped. All this helps the modeller buiId a grand looking model with a minimum of skill.

Included in delivery: vacuum-moulded ABS parts for hull, decks, superstructure, covering, and life raft, laser-cut wood parts for interior braces, railings, and other small parts, complete set of fittings, two jet drives, shaft couplings, parts for rudder linkage, wires, hook-and-loop strip, small parts

The model
The MULTI-JET BOAT is based on a Swedish pilot boat, which is also used as a sea rescue boat. In developing the model, however, the original was used only as a source of ideas, so that the model builders can implement their own ideas in their models. As a result, the model can be done as many kinds of control services (coast guard, police, et cetera). This is also facilitated by the multilingual decal sheet.
The CNC-machined vacuum-moulded ABS parts make it suitable even for less practiced model builders.
The railings are made of 2mm laser-cut ABS, saving you the trouble of soldering them together from wires.
The windows come standard as complete decals, the decal sheet also includes some separate decals of only the window frames.
The dual jet drive provides impressive operating performance.

R/C side-wheel-paddle tug. Semi-scale model design for single electric motor or steam-engine drive. 4 channels. Quickie kit with moulded hull.
Product information
This model of the paddler tug GLASGOW has been designed to 1:40 scale using English drawings.
The scarce information available on the history and career of this tug indicates that it was mainly operated in ports of Northern England and Scot-land. The modeller has the option of powering his model with an electric motor or - just like the fullsize vessel - with a steam engine.
All difficult to fashion parts, such as hull, paddle wheel covers, life boat, skylights, companionways, pressure vents etc. are moulded of ABS plastic. The wood parts all come profusely pre-shaped. Building time is further shortened by the many injection-moulded ABS plastic parts of the set of fittings (No. 582), such as winch anchor, bollards, davits, engine room telegraph etc., as well as the brass rail stanchions.

Graupner Weser
Graupner Weser
Ref: 4470
Product information:
At the time of the vessel's introduction the WESER was Europe's most modern fire-fighting cruiser, and the German Federal Republic's first ocean-going fire-fighting boat which was also able to operate in coastal waters. The fire-fighting cruiser was built in the Schichau-Unterweser yard, and was christened in Bremerhaven on 28.01.1974. Its primary area of action is the regional harbour systems and the river Weser reaching as far as the sea. In its lifetime the WESER has been subjected to one comprehensive refit, the most conspicuous modification being a new, sealed, gas-tight bridge. For fighting fires the WESER carries three fire cannon (fire monitors), capable of hurling a stream of water over a distance of up to 100 m.
One of the cannon is mounted on a stand above the double funnel, and this can be extended to a height of 17 m above the waves. The two double searchlights above the lattice mast can also be extended upward, making nocturnal action considerably easier.
Our WESER fire-fighting cruiser was drawn up to a scale of 1:30 with the use of original documents, and is designed in such a way that builders' wishes in terms of comprehensive auxiliary working systems can easily be accommodated. Building and operating the boat calls for experience in many model making techniques, so the WESER is recommended for seasoned model builders only. All the components which would be difficult to make, including the hull, moulded bow rubbing strake, inflatable boat, wind deflector, fenders, liferafts, breakwater etc. are supplied in the quick-build kit in the form of vacuum-moulded parts.
The remaining wooden and ABS plastic components are supplied highly pre-fabricated. All these measures ensure that construction requires relatively little effort from the modeller. In this model we have placed particular emphasis on the accurate implementation of detail features, and the anchor winch and fire cannon are examples of this. The large number of pre-fabricated parts goes to produce a finished model which looks fascinating and includes much of technical interest.

The WESER is also a fine choice for boat modellers who are keen to install additional working systems, such as operating fire cannon which also swivel, twin searchlights which extend and retract, a controllable lighting system, and much else. The hull provides ample space for the installation of a comprehensive radio control system.
A separate RC plan shows the installation of the radio control system in detail, together with some of the possible auxiliary functions. The recommended electric motors are carefully matched to the model's size, and give the boat an impressive performance. This new version of the model includes completely revised building instructions and plans, and also contains a vacuum-moulded breakwater to make this part of construction easier.
The kit now also includes the following parts: propeller shaft systems, propellers, rudder systems and all fittings (previously included in a separate Fittings Set), plus additional wooden parts such as the boatstand components.

Pack contents :
Quick-build plan, RC installation plan, illustrated building instructions including RC installation in German, English and French. Vacuum-moulded CNC-trimmed ABS hull, additional vacuum-moulded parts including: inflatable boat, fender, breakwater, liferafts, bow rubbing strake and other small components, printed and die-cut wooden parts, strip material, window glazing, rod and tube, decal sheet, complete fittings set, propeller shafts, propellers, rudder systems, RC linkage pack and small items.

Ref: 2421
The SYDNEY STAR is a semi-scale model of a long-range container ship. The model includes all the characteristic features and details of these vessels, as we wanted the ship to have as realistic an appearance as possible.
Construction of the model is greatly simplified by the high level of pre-fabrication of the kit's components, many of them die-cut or CNC-machined, plus the many fittings included in the kit as standard, including winches, companionways and injection-moulded handrails.
Nevertheless, the model is only recommended for the experienced marine modeller. The two transverse thrusters at bow and stern allow the model to traverse (move sideways) and turn on the spot without difficulty, without the need for tugs.

GRAUPNER CLASSIC LINE
The motor torpedo boats of the ZOBEL class are slightly improved versions of the JAGUAR class vessels, and were launched in the year 1961. After just 8 years the four torpedo tubes were replaced by two stern torpedo tubes, and at the same time an improved radar system was installed. These modifications brought the boats up to the standard required for altered service requirements.
In the early 1980´s the boats were de-commissioned and sold, some to the Turkish navy (among them the WIESEL), the remainder to other owners; the worn-out vessels ended their days as target ships.
WIESEL built to a scale of 1/40th based on original drawings and documents, with particular emphasis on good detailing of the superstructure.
Special 40 mm guns are available as optional accessories, and installing these weapons gives the boat an even more impressive appearance. All the parts which are difficult to make, including the hull, bridge, deck superstructure etc., are supplied in the kit as vacuum-moldings, and this makes construction of the model much easier.
Most of the wooden parts are supplied die-cut to save even more time.
A comprehensive fittings set is included as standard, and the many injection-moulded and brass parts in it help to produce a visually imposing model with relatively little manual effort

WP B-24 - Graupner B24 /2135
WP B-24 - Graupner B24 /2135
Ref: 2430
This boat was developed by Ocke Mannerfelt and is the result of protracted aerodynamic research aimed at achieving best possible performance.
It has been awarded two design prizes and is patented.
The newly designed double-step hull bottom features patented speed rails: specially designed stringers which distribute the air-enriched water under the bottom of the boat and thereby reduce the wetted area.
The boat planes over the water on a layer of "air lubrication" evenly distributed over the hull surface.
The boat is extremely slim in an effort to minimise air resistance. The lateral wings on the hull produce upthrust due to their profile and also due to ground effect.
The model is based on the original drawings and is moulded using all-GRP technology, with the exception of the driver's cabin.
The boat can be fitted with a scale power system utilising a Z-drive 600 and SPEED 700 TURBO motor, but can also be equipped with two electric motors and contra-rotating semi-cavitating surface-piercing propellers for higher speed, according to the builder´s individual preferences.
For even higher speeds it is also possible to fit BRUSHLESS 220/30-3 motors, although not with the Z-drive.
This option is for experienced modellers only, and no details are provided. Suitable for the Mono 1 and Mono 2 racing boat classes when fitted with the appropriate power system

Azimut Atlantic Challenger
Azimut Atlantic Challenger
Ref: 2404
The Blue Riband trophy was inaugurated in 1933 by the Englishman Harold Holes for the fastest Atlantic crossing by a passenger ship.
In 1952 it was awarded to the ocean-going steamship United States, which traversed the Atlantic in 82 hours and 40 minutes, and that proved to be the last time it was awarded. To this day the trophy stands in Long Island Naval Museum. In 1986 the English aviation industrialist Richard Branson crossed the Atlantic in a new record time of 80 hours and 31 minutes in his 21.95 m long Virgin Atlantic Challenger. However, the Americans refused him the trophy, as the Virgin was not a passenger vessel, had been refueled en rout, and was not in regular line service.
In response Branson inaugurated a new cup: the Virgin Atlantic Trophy, which is awarded to the vessel which crosses the Atlantic the fastest by any means.

MOONRAKER
R/C Mega-Yacht. True-scale model of the world's fastest mega-yacht. For 3 JET propulsion systems and electric power. Multi-channel R/C. Quick-build kit with moulded hull, deck and superstructure.
Product information
The Moonraker was completed in 1992 and its top speed of 124 km/h makes it the fastest mega-yacht in the world at present. The boat s owner, John Staluppi, had previously held the record with his yacht ]OCTOPUSSY (99 km/hr).
Staluppi entrusted the layout and design of the new vessel to Frank Mulder, whose Dutch studio ]Mulder Design specialises in high-quality motor yachts.
The yacht was built at the Ulstein Elkefjord Marine yard, which is part of the ]Norship consortium of Norwegian dockyards. The Moonraker cost more then 15 million DM to build, and was originally designed to be fitted with three MTU diesel engines: two 16-V 396 T8 94's, each rated at 3480 BHP outboard, in conjunction with two steer able KaMeWa jet units, and a central 1200 BHP 12-V 183 TE 92 combined with a booster jet.
However, tank testing showed that this combination would only produce a top speed of about 85 km/h. The centre diesel engine was then replaced by a Textron Lycoming TF-40 gas turbine, rated at 4600 BHP. Total engine power is thus 11,560 BHP, and the boat achieved a speed of 124 km/h during sea trials off Norway.

WP MICRO MAGIC Racing Pt No 2014
WP MICRO MAGIC Racing Pt No 2014
Ref: 4678
The racing MICRO MAGIC was designed to reflect developments in the MICRO MAGIC racing scene, and in its standard form constitutes a version intended for ambitious regatta work
Vacuum-moulded, CNC-machined hull, deck, hatch cover and keel mast socket
The keel fin and rudder are injection-moulded in glass-fibre reinforced plastic for outstanding stiffness
The fore-and-aft position of the keel can be adjusted by up to 5 mm, enabling the operator to fine-tune the boat to suit the prevailing conditions and personal preferences
The slightly reduced areas and slim profile of the fin and rudder result in reduced drag
Factory-made, pre-sewn sail suit of highly efficient grey, lightweight, water-repellent, ICAREX PC31 fabric
Lightweight, rigid rig consisting of CFRP tubing. The boat features a one-piece mast in order to obtain a strong rig without the need for a spreader
The rig is based on newly developed, high-quality plastic fittings which are very easy to fit
The boat is designed for a jib trimming servo, so that you can fine-tune the sail trim while the boat is running
In general terms the whole sail adjustment system is low in friction thanks to the double control arm and dual return pulleys
The high level of pre-fabrication ensures that the model is quick to complete
The racing MICRO MAGIC requires no sailwinch, and is therefore inex pensive to purchase and fit out

Wp Px 1 - Graupner Wp Px1/2020
Ref: 2432
The PX-1 racing catamaran
Is a semi-scale model boat capable of speeds of 40 to 60 km / hr or even more, depending on the motors installed.
The boat can be fitted with SPEED, ULTRA or INLINE motors.
The model is a real head-turner with its attractive painted colour scheme and the option of two different decal sheets. The robust GRP hull provides plenty of scope for the experienced racing boat fan to try out his own ideas in the power department, using either one or two electric motors.
The suggested motors, shafts and rudder should only be considered as a basic recommendation for a standard version, and variations are certainly possible.

Tonnenleger Ranzow - Graupner/Ranzow/2023
Tonnenleger Ranzow - Graupner/Ranzow/2023
Ref: 2425
Ranzow is a multi-purpose ship designed for operations in shallow, confined waters.
It can cope with many tasks including transport of personnel, equipment and materials, the maintenance of navigation buoys, ice-breaking missions and other tasks
The model of the RANZOW has been developed from documents supplied by the Fassmer dockyard, and is drawn up to a scale of 1:32. The boat is powered by two SPEED 500 motors, and steered using two Becker rudders and one bow thruster - just as on the full-size vessel. The deck-mounted crane is included in the kit, and can be made to work in scale fashion. Additional working systems can be installed at the builder´s discretion, including the derrick for lowering the ship´s boat, a radio control system in the ship´s boat itself, and systems for folding the mast and lowering the searchlight.
Most of the parts which are difficult to make, including the hull, deck, bulwark, superstructure and bridge, are supplied in pre-fabricated form, while many injection-moulded parts in the kit shorten the building time considerably.
However, the model is not intended for the beginner, and technical modelling experience and manual skill are required to assemble it and apply a scale colour finish.
